He was christened 1 on 26 Dec 1802 in St Leonards, Shoreditch. He died in date unknown. Photo 2 of where he was Baptised in 1802 in St Leonard's Church, Shoreditch (1827). Photo 3 of London Bridge, where he must have crossed the River Thames when he married Mary Ann Browne in Southwark in 1827. Photo 4 of River Thames in Lambeth, what housing was like in the 1880's. Photo 5 of Christ Church, Blackfriars Road, Southwark, the Church before being destroyed during World War II in 1941. Photo 6 of Christ Church Blackfriars Road, Southwark, where the Church spire fell in in 1941. Photo 7 of the area near to where John Joseph Baston lived and his son Frederick was baptised in 1831 in Whitechapel High Street (1837). The Baston Family has this Coat of Arms 8. 1802 Tabernacle Walk, Baptism, St Leonard's Church, (probably called John Joseph as his brothers John and Joseph had died in infancy). 1828 Tilley St, Painter, Baptism of Mary Ann. 1831 Heneage Street, Painter, Baptism of son Frederick William. Note: I have been unable to find his burial which I suspect was in Southwark as that is where his only surviving child, Frederick Baston was living as an orphan with Mary Cole.  A considerable number of the registers for the area have been destroyed, most in the second world war.  I have also checked all the relevant burial registers for the Shoreditch/Whitechapel area in case he died at the same time as his wife Mary in the 1832 Cholera outbreak

She was buried on 11 Mar 1832 in Christ Church Spitalfields.
