I wondered why in Francis' apprentishop indenture he is described as a poor boy, I now realise why, he was orphaned as both of his parents had died in 1714.
(This Francis is the first occurrence of the name in the Baston family.)

Francis married 1 Mary ACRES [scrapbook]-2489, daughter of Henry ACRES-3502 and Mary HUMFRYS-4798, on 22 Oct 1737 in St Mary's Church, Bampton, Oxfordshire. Mary was christened 2 on 7 Aug 1709 in St Mary's, Bampton, Oxfordshire. She was buried 3 on 2 Mar 1749 in St Mary's, Bampton, Oxfordshire.

From 1751 all births are shown to Francis & Elizabeth, not Francis & Mary so we can presume that Mary has died in the meantime and Francis has remarried.  This is born out by the fact that a Mary Baston was buried 2nd March 1749, the same time as Ann & Jane, the twins were born.
