2. John BASTON [scrapbook] (John ) was born in Aston, Bampton, Oxfordshire. He was christened 1 on 26 Aug 1553 in St Mary's Bampton, Oxfordshire. He was buried 2 on 4 Jul 1630 in St Mary's Bampton, (John a householder).

He was left a legacy 3 in his father John Baston's Will Nov 1588, Aston, Bampton, Oxfordshire He was left a legacy 4 in his mother Elizabeth Baston's Will 20 Jul 1603, Aston, Bampton, Oxfordshire He had a will 5 in 1630 in Aston, Bampton, Oxfordshire. Here is a 1831 8 Ordance Survey map showing the location of Grafton Mill, Little Clanfield. The Baston Family has this Coat of Arms 9.

Probably the John Baston mentioned as a "Vicars' Warden" 1603-1609 as a witnessing signature to the copying of the 1538 - 1613 paper registers onto parchment by the Rev. Robert Joy (instituted 1595, died 1614).

1604 Will of mother, Elizabeth Baston left 2 bushels of wheat and one bushel of barley.
1630 his will & probate.

John married Elizabeth ALDER [scrapbook], daughter of William ALDER and Elizabeth SMITH, on 25 Nov 1583 in St Mary's Bampton, Oxfordshire. Elizabeth was christened on 2 Feb 1560/1561 in St Mary's Bampton, Oxfordshire. She was buried in poss 12 May 1647 in Bampton "Elizabeth a wife buried".

She was left a legacy 2 in her grandmother Elizabeth Baston's Will 20 Jul 1603, Aston, Bampton, Oxfordshire

She was left a legacy 2 in her father John Baston's Will Nov 1588, Bampton Oxfordshire

1593 Elizabeth his first wife dies.
