Family Search for its IGI index of baptisms & marriages before 1837, it is not a complete record (as I found out eventually) but does have a lots of records.
S&N Genealogy - Supplier of census records on CD and more.
The Genealogist - A subscription service by S&N Genealogy, again very useful for finding those elusive records which don't appear anywhere else.
Certificate Ordering Service for BMD Certificates for events after 1837.
The Society of Genealogists, wish I'd have joined this much earlier. You wouldn't believe how many records they've got in their archives.
FreeBMD a free search service for Births, Deaths & Marriages post 1837.
