Descendants of John MAY or STEVENS born 1730 in Shoreham, Kent

This branch of the May family started with John born 1730 in Shoreham, Kent and continues with Jonathan born 1761 and Robert born 1787 in Chiddingstone, Kent. The first excursion to London began with George May (1829 Chiddingstone) who worked away from his family as a carpenter in the Finsbury area of London. Percy May (1865 Bromley) and his brother George Allen May were the first to move to London permanently. Percy May married Mary Brodie from Bethnal Green in 1882.

Individuals marked with a red dot in the following pages are direct ancestors of Adam Luke John and Jane Louisa Baston.
