In the name of God Amen, I John Baston the elder of Aston in the parish of Bampton husbandman being sicke in body but of good and perfect remembrance thanks and praise be unto God therefore do make and ordain this my last will and testament Anno inpatimo? in manner and forme following, that is to say first I commende my soul to Almighty God my maker and redeemer and my body to the grave.  

Imprimis I grant and bequeath to Henry Baston my sonne my branded? Oxe, the wont? mare and the grey mare and three quarters of barley to be delivered him one quarter yearly until it be paid.
Item I give Agnes Baston my daughter the tagged (sheep?) ------ and 3 quarters of barley to be delivered her one quarter yearly until it be paid.
Item I grant to Richard Maye one bs of wheat.
Item I grant to Richard Mayes children 2 bushels of barley.  
Item I grant to Agnes Baston, John Bastons' daughter two bushels of barley.  
Item I grant to Elizabeth Baston my wiffe all my goodes -thm dowes?.  
All the residue of my goodes and chattells moveable and unmoveable not given or bequeathed I give and bequeath unto Elizab: Baston my wiffe and John Baston my sonne whom I make my sole executor to see my debts be paid, my legacies so formed and my funeral expenses discharged.  On said William Ashworth and John Buttler witnessed William Gibbons, William Ashworth, Richard Maye and John Buttler.

Testament of Elizabeth Baston of Aston in the parish of Bampton in county oxon, widow.

In the name of god almighty I Elizabeth Baston of Aston in the said parish of Bampton in county Oxon by ----- being sicke in body but of prefect remembrance thanks be to almighty God do make and ordain this my last wyll and testament.  Fyrst I bequeath my soul unto the hands of almighty God and to my only savyour Jesus Christ and my body to be buried in the church yards of Bampton.

For my worldly goods I bequeath unto Alice May my kinswoman one small cover? one flockbed? one payre of sheets, 2 -o-lsheet? one coverlet, one blanket, one brass pan containing a gallon? and such old stuffe at? --- I have about the house.
Item I doe bequeath unto Joane Baston one brown cover JD.  
Item I give unto Mrs? Ann Bartlet 2 bushells of Barley and one little kettle.
Item I give unto John Bartlet one bushell of barley.
Item I give unto Elizabeth Butler? one bushell of wheate
Item I give unto Alice Burke 1 bushell of barley.
Item I give unto John May 2 bushells of barley.  
Item I give unto Agnes Baston one bushell of barley and one of the best pewter platters.  
Item I give unto Margery Baston one bushell of barley.

Item I give unto Alice May before named 4 bushells of wheate for her good attendance of me in my sickness.
Item I give unto my sonn John Baston 2 bushells of wheate and one bushell of maulte.
