  In the name of god amen I John Baston of Aston in the county of oxon husbandman and in the year of courageous Lord, Charles King of England the sixeª anno of 1630 being sick in body but of perfect memory thanks be given to god do make this last will and testament in manner following. ffirst and before all other things I commit my soule to god my maker and Jesus Christ my redeemer by whom I hope to have pardon for my sins and my body to the earth whereof it was formed and my body to be buried in the p'ish church yard of Bampton near to the church door down uppon the right hand.touching? my worldly goods which god have lent me.
